Dress Code Policy for Girls:
1. Mid-thigh rule. Dresses should not rise above mid thigh when hands are raised.
2. Modesty Rule: Please refrain from purposely exposing cleavage. Please do not expose sides of breast. Coverage should not be mesh or transparent fabric. Please no peek-a-boo holes. Ribbon tied dresses should not go below the natural waist and ties are only appropriate in the back. Two piece dresses should be modest and include a full top and a high waisted bottom. Low waisted and/or bikini tops will not be tolerated. High/low dresses are acceptable as long as the high area does not go above the mid thigh upon lifting hands in the air. The same mid thigh rule applies to dresses with slits as well. Strapless dresses that slide and are too revealing will require a sweater or jacket.
3. Form Fitting, spandex type dresses are inappropriate for our dances.
Dress Code Policy for Boys:
1. No extremely tight pants and no low hanging pants exposing your underpants. A belt is required if falling pants are inevitable.
2. Shirts should be buttoned appropriately- please refrain from exposing chest hair.
3. Although it probably doesn't need to be said....NO Dresses.****Exception made for kilts as long as they comply with mid thigh rule and wear corresponding tartan. No bagpipes under any circumstances (undergarments ALWAYS appropriate)
***Parents are ultimately responsible for making sure their children are in compliance with the few dress code rules required. We understand the definition of modesty is different for each individual; therefore, HomeCircle has created a standard policy for a modest dance dress code.
